My passion for health, wellness, and nutrition stems from the loss of my father in 1998 to cancer. I realized that an active lifestyle and a plant-based diet are vital to living a long healthy life. This was reinforced by the book Blue Zones by Dan Buettner. He says, "A long healthy life is no accident. It begins with good genes, but it also depends on good habits."
