Amazing that I have been with my family business for 30+ years now. I enjoy every day and the wonderful team in our Harrisburg and Lemoyne offices. We try very hard to create a warm personal environment in our offices, and give our candidates a positive experience. In that environment, we can learn about their background, skills and goals so that our placements are a good match with our company clients. Abel Personnel started 40+ years ago, and worked exclusively placing candidates in permanent positions with good companies. We always looked to insure that the candidate and company interests, goals and skills were a fit for the long run. It has been rewarding to attend retirement parties for our candidates and learn how they advanced and succeeded with their companies. I love being a part of this tradition where each person and each company has unique background and needs and making a "match" that is so right for both. Those who can remember 40 years ago, know that there were no answering machines and voicemail; and to reach a candidate to schedule an interview, you had to call and let the phone ring 10 times. If the person was outside, forget it! To insure we could contact our candidates, we decided to find temporary jobs for them, so we could call them at lunch and break time. Times changed and the business environment created a huge demand for temporary, contract, and temp to perm placements and our business grew substantially in those services as well. Responding to a new need, we have just established A+Teachers to help schools with substitute teachers, aids and other professional. I'm grateful to our wonderful team, the candidates we work with and the varied and interesting clients.
