It seems Indeed is changing things daily right now. Career Builder has the same thing ...called Supply & Demand...if you work with them. You can call the Indeed contact number and inquire or your rep if you have one. ------------------------------ Renee Fulton President Talis Group Inc. Louisville ...

I saw that Indeed changed from PPC (a set daily amount) to an option to switch to Pay per Application. Has anyone tried it? What are your thoughts? ------------------------------ Renee Fulton President Talis Group Inc. Louisville KY (502) 581-9861 ------------------------------

I haven't read this anywhere, so in case you were unaware, there is now a 6% sales tax on "...recruitment services for placement of a highly compensated employee who is an administrator or manager for a Kentucky employer." The threshold for highly compensated is $150,000. This applies to services provided ...

Just wanted to give the heads up to those looking for a new payroll company about my experience with Paychex. I was very thrilled with my sales rep and the set -up team to get my payroll moved over to Paychex late last year, but am certainly not happy now with the Tax Dept or getting questions answered. ...

How do texting apps work? 1. Can you 'text' from your computer and receive a response that way- sort of like email? 2. I plan to text client interview reminders. My application gives me 'approval' to do so. Anything else I need to know? 3. I assume you cannot text anyone you don't have express permission ...

Donna, I wouldn't split hairs on this. I would base your fee on base salary. We don't even include commissions in our Fee calculation most of the time. Over the years we have found it causes more issues than not. If you have a wage of $50k with expected overtime, base your fee on $50k. Sales jobs ...

I switched to Paychex November of last year. The transition could not have gone any better. I was well pleased. Now I am having an issue where they have not filed two months' tax returns nor made tax payments to my home state. I have been emailing about this issue a month and still it is not fixed. ...

If your staffing agency is LESS than the 100 threshold but you put a temp at a 100 threshold company, what are the rules. Of course if the client requests us to ensure the vaccination status we will, but if they do not require or ask anything of us, are we under any obligation to ensure temp staff at ...

We allow it to be on a basis of who put it on the schedule first. With that said we also work as a team. If someone has a big plan for a vacation and someone else just scheduled a few days off that can easily move, they will work together on it. ------------------------------ Renee Fulton President ...

Just got the abrupt news my payroll system is being decommissioned at the end of this year. I do my own payroll (don't have that many temps) as well as my own taxes. My current system allows me to enter hours, pay rate and bill rate and keeps up with my Accounts Receivable. Any suggestions for ...

Now that most have been vaccinated and most are back at work, what are you doing should you have a temp worker inform you they tested positive for covid or were around someone who tested positive and they aren't vaccinated? Is there a decision tree that takes into account we are in a post vaccinated ...

We have a situation where clients are increasingly wanting a non-solicitation clause in their contract. In one industry that is small in my community, their corporate parents in other states are asking for this clause. I do not see how I can continue business if I am agreeing to not solicit or recruit ...

I assume you are talking PTO for internal staff. I provide 2 weeks vacation for the first 4 years. On year 5, it goes to 3 weeks vacation. I also have 6 sick and personal days. In effect, I lump all the PTO together so they can take as they like. On top of this I have 8 paid Holidays. --- ...

I have used DocuSign for almost 3 years. I like it a lot and built about a dozen templates for on-boarding etc. type forms. I was disappointed after year one when they increased the price a huge amount. I was able to get the increase down by signing for a two year contract this second time. I never ...

We spend a lot of time scheduling interviews between our Clients and Candidates for direct hire positions. Sometimes we get it set up and the Client needs to change the date/time. It is time consuming and frustrating and I am looking for a more efficient way. Calendar scheduling apps like Calendy ...

My SUTA rates tripled for the coming year. I am based in Kentucky. To put in perspective, however, we were at the very lowest rates we could go before this adjustment. The Governor is not having quarter 2, 3 or 4 actual charges for 2020 to count against the employer, so our actual reserve balance ...

I noticed we spend a lot of time booking interviews for our clients with our candidates. This is always a great thing when they want to talk to your candidate, but a lot of time is spent trying to find a day/time that works for both parties and ultimately seems our clients periodically want a change ...

My recruiting company does mostly direct hires. We also handle some temp workers for our clients. We have just 5 temps with a company that is switching to a MSP. My question- The MSP has an insurance company for us to use if we don't have ACA coverage. Even though I explained we are NOT an Applicable ...

I agree with everyone. The 'fear' situation has been spelled out numerous ways. You can not decline to come to work because of fear of covid if your company is taking reasonable safety steps. In a dental office they are in close contact so the office would need to adhere to top level safety procedures ...
