The ASA social responsibility committee advises the ASA board of directors and staff on strategies to help educate members about the benefits of social responsibility and encourage adoption of social responsibility programs. The committee provides vital input on the strategies and activities outlined in the multi-year social responsibility strategic plan, and reviews plan measurements. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among committee members in support of the association’s social responsibility goals and regarding particular challenges facing the industry. The committee holds quarterly virtual meetings and may meet during Staffing World®, the ASA annual convention and expo.
Committee Member Responsibilities
- Provide industry-leading social responsibility talent and thought leadership to support overarching ASA goals
- Offer strategic counsel regarding the multi-year association social responsibility strategic plan and associated initiatives
- Contribute ideas for innovative outreach regarding social responsibility
- Inform ASA public relations team of any current social responsibility -related issues and trends
- Undertake ad hoc projects in support of the association’s social responsibility goals
- Participate in quarterly committee conference calls
