The ASA education and certification committee aims to champion industry education among ASA members, affiliated chapters, and state networks in coordination with ASA staff. Committee members may assist with vetting, rating, and choosing sessions for Staffing World, ASA’s annual conference. The Committee may also be tasked with special projects as needed including the development of courses and micro-credentials, and reviewing content to ensure relevance.
Goals & Priorities
The council will meet quarterly to pursue the following strategic goals:
- Review and provide feedback and advice to ASA staff on industry educational programs and services, including Staffing World® sessions and Knowledge Hub Speed Talks, ASA webinars, certification and continuing education programs, and other aspects relating to education, as appropriate.
- Continuously evaluate and update industry training and certification programs and services.
- Encourage members to participate in ASA educational programs.
Time Commitment
The time commitment for committee members are 1-2 hours per month. Members are required to attend at least 75% of committee calls.
