To assist the ASA legal and government affairs staff on legal, legislative, and regulatory issues affecting the staffing industry. Committee members provide staffing-specific context to legislation to protect the industry.
Goals & Priorities
- Provides industry insight into proposed legislation and its impact on the staffing industry
- Develops industry best practices and resources as needed to educate ASA members on legal and regulatory issues
- Serves as resource to fellow committee members and ASA members on industry
- Provides thought leadership as opportunities arise on ASA webinars, panels, and issue alerts based on expertise
Ideal Volunteer
Any staffing firm in-house counsel or individual handling the legislative function for their staffing firm is welcome to apply to serve on the Legal and Legislative committee.
It is essential for this committee to represent all sectors of the industry and staffing firms of various sizes.
Time Commitment
1-4 hours per month via email with an in-person meeting at Staffing World and Staffing Law Conference (optional). Occasional conference calls as needed on time-sensitive legislative developments.
