The ASA industry marketing and public relations committee advises the ASA board of directors and staff on how the association can promote the positive image of the staffing and recruiting industry as a good source of jobs and strategic workforce partner to U.S. businesses to the news media, influencers, and the public.
The committee serves as a forum for the exchange of best practices, strategies, and ideas in support of ASA goals in this area and regarding challenges facing the industry.
Goals & Priorities
The ASA industry marketing and PR committee will provide strategic guidance and other support to help promote and enhance a positive image of the staffing industry among targeted audiences. The committee will align itself with the overall ASA strategic plan regarding the association’s industry marketing and PR goals for 2021 and beyond.
The committee will meet quarterly to pursue the following strategic goals:
- Support the new ASA national media outreach campaign on the value of staffing
- Develop best practice guides, simplified messaging, “elevator pitch”, and other resources for members to use for PR and marketing outreach in support of the staffing industry as a whole
- Provide feedback on ASA PR and externally focused marketing programs or initiatives as needed
We are seeking volunteers whose primary job responsibility is public relations and/or marketing for their company. Members should have at least 3 years of staffing experience to qualify as a volunteer. We are also seeking one early-career professional with less than seven years of staffing experience to participate on this committee as well.
The time commitment for committee members are 1-2 hours per month. Members are required to attend at least 75% of committee calls.
