Earlier this week, Avionté staff attended ASA's Annual Staffing World Convention and Expo, held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington D.C. This year, the staffing software company sent 21 people overall to represent Avionte at the trade show, the largest amount of people Avionte's ever sent to a Staffing World show! The sales team, consulting team, and managers representing nearly every Avionté department were there to network, demo the Avionté product, and of course - have fun!
According to the American Staffing Association, there were more than 1,600 attendees and exhibitors at the ASA annual convention and expo, and the Avionté team definitely felt the energy as they arrived and began setting up for the two-day show. After a nearly 13-hour trip out (the team got stuck in Lansing, MI!), Avionté arrived in Washington D.C. early Monday morning, and got right to work setting up the Avionté demo booth and Tiki bar. The conference kicked off with a speech from keynote speaker Bill Strickland at three p.m. on Monday, followed by the expo grand opening.
Avionté set up two booths in the expo this year. The larger of our two booths housed three demo stations, where Avionté showed visitors the key features and functionality of the newest version of Avionte Staffing Software, Release 14.1. Avionté Product Development Manager Mike Ferrazzo also demonstrated screen mock-ups of the company's newest product initiative on a 55-inch Smart Board! And just across the aisle from the main demo booth was the Avionté Tiki bar, where the team had drinks, relaxed, and enjoyed conversation with clients and other visitors.
This year, Avionté worked with many technology partners - Asurint, Global Cash Card, Odell Studner, Call-Em-All, PeopleNet, Tricom Funding, and Sterling BackCheck - to create a game called "Solve Our Code". Attendees who stopped by the Avionté booths and the booths of the participating partners to fill in The Avionté Code received prizes, two of which were iPad Minis!
On Tuesday evening, John and Brenda Long of Avionté were recognized for their StaffingPAC contribution program at ASA's Industry Leader Event, which is a highlight event at every year's Staffing World Conference. And on Wednesday evening, Avionté staff attended the ASA Care Award ceremony, and felt honored to be recognized for our corporate social responsibility initiatives through the Avionte Hope Foundation, among other staffing firm members who are doing some truly incredible things within their communities. Keynote speaker Robert B. Tucker wrapped up the conference, and kicked off the Convention's Grand Finale event.
This year's conference seemed to fly by! The Avionté team was happily overwhelmed by the amount of traffic had at the booths, and enjoyed seeing the familiar faces and meeting all of the new people who stopped by they hadn't yet met. The team said they couldn't have asked for a better time at this year's conference! ASA's Staffing World Convention always offers a ton of opportunities to learn about the industry, and to have great conversations with staffing industry professionals.
The Avionté employees that attended the conference have brought the excitement felt from the conference back with them. Arriving back in this office, Avionté CEO John Long said he couldn't be more proud of Avionté and the whole team.
"I wish there was a way to bottle up the energy and enthusiasm that we all felt during the show to then give the entire team," John said. "I'm very proud of you all and what Avionté has accomplished!"
