The industrial section council is a standing council of the American Staffing Association that advises the ASA board of directors on industrial sector-specific issues, coordinates the section’s activities, and helps design programs and services to meet the sector’s needs. The industrial section serves firms that place workers in manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and industrial- and construction-based businesses, including warehouse, assembly, transportation, hospitality, and maintenance workers; food handlers; cleaners; drivers; trades people; machine operators; and day laborers.
Council member responsibilities:
- Participate in quarterly conference calls and provide guidance on sector-specific concerns and challenges
- Identify the section’s priorities for the year
- Review, provide feedback on, and advise ASA staff on educational programs and services to benefit section members
- If attending Staffing World®, participate in section activities
