The safety committee assists with the development and promotion of best practices as they relate to employee safety for various sectors of the staffing industry (i.e. industrial, health care, professional, technical, etc.). These best practices should enhance the safety and well-being of staffing firms’ temporary and contract workers as well as internal employees. In addition, the committee may have the opportunity to provide feedback on U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration documentation as it relates to the Temporary Worker Initiative. The contributions of the committee should aid in the association’s overall goals of promoting the staffing industry to clients, as well as promoting staffing firms as employers of choice for job candidates.
