2021 ASA Social Responsibility Committee

Committee Description

The ASA social responsibility committee advises the ASA board of directors and staff on strategies to help educate member companies about the benefits of social responsibility and to encourage the adoption of social responsibility programs. The committee serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among committee members in support of the association’s social responsibility goals and strategies.


Our Ideal Volunteer Candidate
Our ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of social responsibility experience within a business environment. We are also seeking one early-career professional with less than seven years of staffing experience to participate on this committee. 

Goals and Priorities

The ASA social responsibility committee will provide input on and support the goals, strategies, and initiatives outlined in a multi-year committee plan.

The committee will meet quarterly to pursue the following strategic goals:

  • Provide support for the annual ASA Cares Live event at Staffing World
  • Contribute to the development of member education and engagement initiatives regarding social responsibility and good citizenship
  • Inform ASA public relations team of any current social responsibility-related issues and trends
  • Provide feedback on ASA Cares award process and assist with the selection of award recipients as needed
  • Provide feedback on ASA social responsibility programs or initiatives as needed

Time Commitment
The time commitment for committee members is 1-2 hours per month. Members are required to attend at least 75% of committee calls.
