The industrial section council advises the ASA board of directors and staff on issues and trends specific to industrial staffing. The council also develops sector-specific resources for ASA membership on an as-needed basis as well as coordinates professional development and networking opportunities for members in the industrial section.The industrial section serves firms that place workers in manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and industrial- and construction-based businesses, including warehouse, assembly, transportation, hospitality, and maintenance workers; food handlers; cleaners; drivers; tradespeople; machine operators; and day laborers.

The industrial section council will explore resources, education, and networking opportunities around the topics that are most pressing to industrial staffing firms. Council members will:
Ideal Volunteer:
Members should have at least 3 years of industrial staffing experience to qualify as a section council volunteer.
Time Commitment:
The time commitment for ASA section council members is 15-20 hours per year. Members are required to attend at least 75% of section council calls.
