Volunteer Opportunity Details

The health care section council advises the ASA board of directors and staff on sector-specific issues and priorities. The council also develops sector-specific resources for ASA membership on an as-needed basis as well as coordinates professional development and networking opportunities for members in the health care section.

The health care section serves firms that place physicians, dentists, nurses, hygienists, medical technicians, therapists, home health aides, custodial care workers, and other health care workers. 

Goals & Priorities
The health care section council will explore resources, education, and networking opportunities around issues/trends that are most pressing to health care staffing firms. Council members will:

• Attend bi-monthly council virtual meetings
• Participate in periodic working group calls
• Produce at least two sector-specific educational webinars
• Develop the health care session for Staffing World
• Produce five bi-monthly networking calls
• Expand the library of health care staffing resources

Ideal Volunteer
Members should have at least 3 years of health care staffing experience to qualify as section council volunteers. 

Time Commitment
The time commitment for ASA section council members is 15-20 hours per year. Members are required to attend at least 75% of section council calls.
