2027 ASA Industrial Section Council

The industrial section council advises the ASA board of directors and staff on issues and trends specific to industrial staffing. The council also develops sector-specific resources for ASA membership on an as-needed basis as well as coordinates professional development and networking opportunities for members in the industrial section.

The industrial section serves firms that place workers in manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and industrial- and construction-based businesses, including warehouse, assembly, transportation, hospitality, and maintenance workers; food handlers; cleaners; drivers; tradespeople; machine operators; and day laborers. 

Goals & Priorities 

The industrial section council will explore resources, education, and networking opportunities around the topics that are most pressing to industrial staffing firms. Council members will:

• Attend bi-monthly council virtual meetings
• Participate in periodic working group calls
• Contribute to at least two sector-specific educational webinars
• Collaborate on the industrial session for Staffing World
• Help develop and facilitate bi-monthly networking calls
• Review, develop, and refresh industrial staffing resources
• Post and engage monthly on the industrial ASA Central community

Ideal Volunteer
Members should have at least 3 years of industrial staffing experience to qualify as a section council volunteer. 

Time Commitment
The time commitment for ASA section council members is 15-20 hours per year. Members are required to attend at least 75% of section council calls.
