2024 ASA Social Responsibility Committee

The ASA social responsibility committee advises the ASA board of directors and staff on strategies to help educate member companies about the benefits of social responsibility and to encourage the adoption of social responsibility programs. The committee serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among committee members in support of the association’s social responsibility goals and strategies. 

Goals & Priorities

• Provide critical thought leadership as social responsibility professionals: The ASA Social Responsibility Committee will guide the ASA members on best practices for creating sustainable social responsibility programs through educational programming and networking opportunities.
• Contribute ideas for innovative outreach regarding social responsibility: The ASA Social Responsibility Committee will provide guidance to ASA members on opportunities for social responsibility programs in their communities.
• Undertake projects to support ASA’s social responsibility initiatives in the community: The ASA Social Responsibility Committee will take the lead on the development and management of ASA Cares Live projects, including any social responsibility initiatives held at Staffing World ®, the ASA annual convention and expo 

Ideal Volunteer

We are seeking volunteers whose primary job responsibility is public relations and/or marketing for their company. Members should have at least 3 years of staffing experience to qualify as a volunteer. We are also seeking one early-career professional with less than seven years of staffing experience to participate on this committee as well. 

Time Commitment

The time commitment for committee members are 1-2 hours per month. Members are required to attend at least 75% of committee calls.
