2025 ASA Section Council: Professional-Managerial

The professional-managerial section serves firms that place professional, managerial, and other non-technical professionals in occupations that require higher skill or education levels. The professional-managerial section council advises the ASA board of directors and staff on issues and trends that are most pressing for this sector.

The council also develops sector-specific resources for ASA membership on an as-needed basis as well as coordinates professional development and networking opportunities for members in the professional-managerial section. 

Goals & Priorities:

The professional-managerial section council will explore resources, education, and networking opportunities around the most pressing issues and trends for professional-managerial staffing firms. Council members will:

• Attend bi-monthly council virtual meetings
• Participate in periodic working group calls
• Produce at least two sector-specific educational webinars
• Develop the professional-managerial session for Staffing World
• Produce five bi-monthly networking calls
• Expand the library of professional-managerial staffing resources

Ideal Volunteer: 

We are looking for members with job titles ranging from director to business owner. Members should have at least 3 years of professional-managerial staffing experience to qualify as section council volunteers. We are also seeking one early career professional with less than seven years of staffing experience to participate on this council as well. 

Time Commitment: 

The time commitment for ASA section council members is 15-20 hours per year. Members are required to attend at least 75% of section council calls.
