Making the Mix Work—Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advocacy (IDEA)
The American Staffing Association embraces and recognizes the opportunity and responsibility for the staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions industry to promote workplace inclusion, diversity, and equality—both internally with their teams and externally with their clients.
Diversity is the mix, inclusion is making the mix work. Inclusive environments transform workplaces and communities into places where individuals are valued and empowered to be their authentic selves and reach their fullest potential. Inclusion drives collaboration, innovation, and organizational growth.
IDEA Group members will support ASA in developing a strategy and mission focusing on inclusion, diversity, and equity; developing tools and resources for members; planning networking events; and potentially presenting on behalf of the industry.
IDEA Group Responsibilities:
- Should be familiar with inclusion, diversity, and equality business practices
- Encourage your company’s involvement with program initiatives (social media plan, programs, and outreach)
- Share new ideas or successes with ASA staff for ongoing industry promotion efforts
- Serve as a resource for other ASA members desiring to become part of the initiative
- Participate in three calls or virtual meetings annually and on ASA Central community
