Description:

The direct hire section council is a standing council of the American Staffing Association which advises the ASA board of directors on search and placement specific issues, coordinates the section's activities, and helps design programs and services to meet the sector's needs. The direct hire section serves permanent placement, direct hire, and blended service firms.
Goals & Priorities
The direct hire section council will explore resources, education, and networking opportunities around direct hire staffing. Council members will:
  • Attend bi-monthly council virtual meetings
  • Participate in periodic working group calls
  • Produce at least two sector-specific educational webinars
  • Develop the direct hire session for Staffing World
  • Produce five bi-monthly direct hire networking calls
  • Expand the library of direct hire staffing resources

Ideal Volunteer
Members should have at least 3 years of direct hire staffing experience to qualify as section council volunteers. 
 
Time Commitment
The time commitment for ASA section council members is 15-20 hours per year. Members are required to attend at least 75% of section council calls.
