I am delighted to be part of this IDEA community - it is a much-needed effort for the staffing industry.
I've enjoyed the last 15 years of my career being able to have a meaningful impact on people's lives- whether that be helping hiring managers in marketing build great teams or supporting individuals in building rewarding careers.
I've spent the majority of my career working within the marketing, communications, and creative disciplines, including my current role as VP, Business Development and Account Management for TorchLight Hire - DC metro-based, fully-remote for 8 years, and supporting clients nationally.
I come to this group with a sincere interest in listening, learning, and developing actionable strategies to increase inclusion, equity, and diversity within the staffing industry and in partnership with our clients.
And I have a special interest in the areas of disability inclusion and neurodiversity / autism at work initiatives founded in my hopes for meaningful work for my own neurodivergent children.
Over the last 2 years, I have developed many relationships in the autism at work community. I've increased my understanding of the many challenges to scale these programs and the barriers to employment faced by so many neurodivergent candidates.
I believe our industry has a key and critical role to play in helping to really scale opportunity for this particular marginalized population, and all underrepresented populations.
