  • 1.  Contest Help - ATS Searches

    Hello,

    I am coming here to see if anyone has conducted or participated in a fun Search Contest.  I am organizing a 1st quarter contest for our recruiters that have become a bit lazy utilizing the full capabilities of our ATS and are solely relying on new resumes from job boards.  To get back to some basics and encourage the team to use their resources first, we are going to make it fun with gamification.  I appreciate any ideas you might have!

    We are having that challenge as well.  We have implemented the following program for 2023:

    $250 Monthly bonus for the Recruiter who utilizes our existing candidate pool within Beyond (our ATS) to generate the most placements in a given month, with a minimum of 5 per month.  The Recruiter also gets an entry into our quarterly drawing which is $500 of gear or cash.

    Good Morning, 

    I would love to learn a few more details on how you are managing and tracking this contest. What do you consider part of the existing candidate pool? Does the candidate have to be in a certain status, like previous assignment, completed onboarding paperwork but no previous assignment or just someone who has applied and is in your ATS?

    Destiny,

    This goes live on January 1st.

    We track the source of all candidates that we place, and that field is changed based on the most recent time we came across the candidate.  For example, if the candidate originally applied through Indeed, this would be listed as Indeed.  However, if that candidate was later found using our advanced resume search, it would be changed at that time to "Advanced Resume Search."

    We want to incentivize the use of several features in our ATS including advanced resume searching, job matching, the available list, and our unemployment log.  Candidates that are identified using these methods will have the Source field changed to the appropriate source.  For example, if the candidate was identified for a job off the available list, the source field will be changed to "Available List."

    At the end of the month, I pull down a report that shows every placement made, the recruiter that located the candidate, and the source of the candidate.   The recruiter with the most placements from those sources will win a $250 bonus and be entered into a quarterly drawing for another $500 in gear (electronics, gift cards to popular brands, experiences) or cash.

    Any candidate that was in the database before we received the job order is eligible. So if a candidate applied to us on 12/01/2022 and the order came in on 12/10/2022, the candidate would count towards this program. Once I have identified the likely winner, I validate the timing of those placements.

    I see this problem with so many Staffing/Recruiting Firms that I interact with across the country! 
    So many recruiters post and then wait for Resumes/Response! 

    Well this is were I come in(ENERGIZE YOUR TEAM) and we need to get the recruiters to believe in your Recruiting Concept!
    *JOB BOARDS ARE A SUPPLMENT TO YOUR RECRUTING
    *NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SEARCH YOUR ATS(ENJOY IT)
    *POSITIVE MINDSET AND THAT EVERY CONTACT IN YOUR SYSTEM COULD BE A PLACEMENT(which is $$$ for the recruiter)

    *We need to teach them that ATS is there to make their recruiting organized and easier!
    *All candidates in your database should be reached out to and see if there is an opportunity! 
    (I would put this into your contest about converting INACTIVE Candidates into ACTIVE Candidates)

    I would love to chat with your recruiting team and do a BRAINSTORMING WITH THE SHARK! call on how your team can be excited and motivated about RECRUITUNG AND SO MUCH MORE!!!!
