    Good Afternoon!

I am helping a friend who is starting a staffing company and he needs an ATS that fits his size and budget.  Any suggestions?

    Thank you in advance!

    Threase,

I'd suggest speaking with Greenfield Software (www.gfsw.com).  Their platform is a full service solution all in one (ATS->Onboarding->Payroll->Billing->Backoffice/Financial).  For a startup a simple all-inclusive solution works really, really well and keeps costs under control.

    I hope this helps!

    Hi Theresa,

We work with MANY start up staffing companies on their work comp solutions (about 4 -5 per month)  We have found that many do not appreciate that if they use an EOR or PEO, there usually needs to have some coordination between the ATS platforms and EOR/PEO vendor. If they are using state funds (since they do not have work comp histories as a newbie, ) this is not as important. But if they want multi state coverage (like for travel nursing ) they will probably need to use an EOR and some have their own ATS and others have enrollment platforms that are very flex to different ATS's.

I hope this brief over view is helpful

    Stay safe

    Hi:
Try Applicant Tracking System and Recruiting Software - Brightmove.  Web based, easy to deploy, and virtually ready to use immediately.  Great customer support and easy to use..  We used it for a number of years, and only switched to acquire back office billing/payroll.

    Hi, Kris!

We used Brightmove ourselves a couple of years ago.  We did not have a good experience.  It has been some time since we've used them and maybe worth another look.

    THANK YOU!

    Hi Threase:

I'm a former Bullhorn employee, and while I admit I am a little biased, I have also used and seen several of the other aforementioned ATS/CRMs.

Without knowing growth goals, verticals, etc, I wouldn't be able to make a blind recommendation. For example- some of the solutions work better for professional recruitment, LI staffing, etc.

With that said- I would be happy to hop on a call and share my experience with different solutions (with you or your friend) if it would be helpful!

    Hi Threase,

Since we are solely in the healthcare staffing space, we have seen an incredible number of startups. If it is truly a startup, we usually recommend prospects to see how long they can go with old school technology like Excel spreadsheets and GoogleDocs. The reason we recommend this is twofold. First, we believe startups should never spend a dime until they absolutely have to, and second, by doing things manually, they will quickly learn their biggest pain points based on their specific business model. That will give them a great starting point in the search for automation.

    Cheers,

    Hi Teresa,
In my 20 years experience in staffing (medical, LI, etc) most start up companies may start with a full service solution like a funding company that provides everything including a software solution and stay as their own EOR. It does depend on the state.
But for a start up to invest money in a software when they don't know what their capabilities are and what software package will work for them in the next 1-3 years maybe they should out source or as timothy said from Bluesky use excel, QuickBooks and excel till they can figure out what their true needs are.

Good luck and if I could be of any assistance please contact me anytime:)

    Best regards
