Hello All,

Like most agencies we have made significant changes to our screening and onboarding process to protect our temps along with our internal employees. We utilize Tempworks Software and are trying to have our blanket safety orientation completely digitized over the next few days. I know how to embed a video and create a quiz on Tempworks' HR Center platform, but I was curious where I could find a good do-it-all safety video online to embed, hopefully without any copyright issues?! Is there a third party that offers some type of subscription service for these videos if finding them for free is a pipe dream? We have always made temps watch the safety videos in our offices up until this point so this is new territory for us.

Years ago we used some videos produced by the Ohio Board of Workers Compensation that were funded by an OSHA grant. Since they were government-funded, that put them in the public domain. 

They're still on YouTube; just search on "Sizemore Safety Zone".

Wow, what a blast from the past! I was actually on the task force (called the Temporary Worker Alliance) for these videos, and just wanted to add a little more background on them. The videos were created over 10 years ago as a joint project with the Ohio Bureau of Workers Comp, OSHA, and the Ohio Staffing and Search Association. I was president of OSSA at the time and represented the association, as well as a couple other staffing firms including Staffmark (sorry, I don't remember the others off the top of my head).

These are not only a series of safety videos, but were created specifically for the staffing industry. While they are a bit dated technologically (and terminology, as they use temp and temporary throughout), the content is still very relevant. Here is the YouTube playlist for all 7 of the videos.
