Hi Vincy!
When looking at any marketing tactic, I always like to think about, who is the audience on that platform, what content do they want to engage with, and how easily can we get them to convert.
Audience: For LinkedIn, it's definitely more of a "knowledge worker" audience, so your professional candidates. I wouldn't focus on light industrial, clerical, healthcare.
Content: Do you have pain points that you can address? Salary guides are a great one to share. Do you have helpful career tips? How to work with a recruiter guides? This is also a great place to share testimonials and build a longer-term relationship with the passive candidate. Anything that is important to their career.
Tactics: Sharing links back to your website will get people to engage with your career site. Posting video on LinkedIn is a great way to share helpful tips (it doesn't need to be professionally done, turn your phone sideways and press record!), testimonial graphics or videos, infographics, eBooks that are gated, etc.
People don't check LinkedIn as much as they check other social media outlets. We live on LinkedIn as it's part of our daily lives, but most people check in at most, a couple of times/week and a lot of people only check in a couple of times per month.
There are definitely paid subscription packages available on LinkedIn, which I'm sure other members of ASA Central can help with more than I can. Those would be good options for posting jobs, what types of response they received from candidates, etc.
In terms of paid advertisements on LinkedIn, it can work really well as the targeting options are strong but the cost per click is very high. On LinkedIn, we'll easily see $7-$15+ for a click. On Facebook, it will usually be around $1-2+/click
Recently, I wrote a blog covering the different social media platforms for candidate recruitment in 2021. The LinkedIn section is the second social media platform covered:

Hope that helps!

How are you using LinkedIn in your organization? Has it been an effective recruiting tool for you? If so, what is your access level? And what makes it successful for you? Your feedback around this topic is greatly appreciated!
