How are you using LinkedIn in your organization? Has it been an effective recruiting tool for you? If so, what is your access level? And what makes it successful for you? Your feedback around this topic is greatly appreciated!

    Hi Vincy!

When looking at any marketing tactic, I always like to think about, who is the audience on that platform, what content do they want to engage with, and how easily can we get them to convert.

Audience: For LinkedIn, it's definitely more of a "knowledge worker" audience, so your professional candidates. I wouldn't focus on light industrial, clerical, healthcare.
Content: Do you have pain points that you can address? Salary guides are a great one to share. Do you have helpful career tips? How to work with a recruiter guides? This is also a great place to share testimonials and build a longer-term relationship with the passive candidate. Anything that is important to their career.
Tactics: Sharing links back to your website will get people to engage with your career site. Posting video on LinkedIn is a great way to share helpful tips (it doesn't need to be professionally done, turn your phone sideways and press record!), testimonial graphics or videos, infographics, eBooks that are gated, etc.

People don't check LinkedIn as much as they check other social media outlets. We live on LinkedIn as it's part of our daily lives, but most people check in at most, a couple of times/week and a lot of people only check in a couple of times per month.

There are definitely paid subscription packages available on LinkedIn, which I'm sure other members of ASA Central can help with more than I can. Those would be good options for posting jobs, what types of response they received from candidates, etc.

In terms of paid advertisements on LinkedIn, it can work really well as the targeting options are strong but the cost per click is very high. On LinkedIn, we'll easily see $7-$15+ for a click. On Facebook, it will usually be around $1-2+/click

Recently, I wrote a blog covering the different social media platforms for candidate recruitment in 2021. The LinkedIn section is the second social media platform covered:

    Hope that helps!

Great feedback from Matt. I would concur with his points regarding cost for paid ads - very pricey and unless you're recruiting skilled and/or professionals, you won't find your candidate audience there. I would embrace it as a prospecting tool for new business development, but getting results requires more than just an occasional repost or a job posting. Think through who your ideal client is and develop content (original or curated) that speaks to their unique interests. Learn how to use forms and, along with a high-value piece of content, you can capture new leads and then with the help of an email marketing tool, develop a "drip campaign" that will nurture those leads into potential new clients.

LinkedIn has quite a few subscription options. We have LinkedIn RPS subscription. It is designed to help consulting companies that recruit sub contractors. It is helpful. We are able to find good quality consultants for our clients.

If you need any additional information please feel free to contact.

    Hi Vincy,
You have received really good comments so far that I found helpful also. We have focused on LinkedIn Outreach through direct messaging to find many passive candidates. We also used LinkedIn direct message outreach to find new sales leads. We do this very similar to how Jay mentioned an email drip campaign except we do it through the LinkedIn message feature. I did all of this with a Sales Navigator Account at the time. We had so much success with our small Temp Staffing Company that we started a new venture to solely help others with their Sales and Candidate Generation via the platform. I am happy to answer any questions related to this type of outreach.

Here is a small blog we wrote to show the benefits of optimizing your profile and using direct messaging. Good luck.

    Hi Vincy,

By leveraging LinkedIn's RSC, LinkedIn can be a virtual extension of your private database.

I will be delighted to show you how the integration of your database in JobDiva and linkedIn RSC can help you maximize your linkedIn assets.
