    We are considering a LinkedIn Recruiter subscription. For those of you that have it, what are the benefits beyond the basic LinkedIn capabilities? What are the differences? I'm interested to know from recruiters themselves if they have looked at metrics and if it's worth it? Can you locate candidates that you wouldn't otherwise be able to connect with?

    We started our 6-month trial with LinkedIn about three months ago... I am not too happy thus far with their customer service/training and follow up.

    Hi Jamie,

    Given the economic situation we're all in, the word 'Free' is more appealing than ever. I cannot speak to the LI Recruiter subscription though can share that LinkedIn has rolled out a number of free tools to help recruit candidates. The tools are available for a company LinkedIn page and for your recruiting team to use through their personal LI page.

    Hi Jamie. We've found LinkedIn Recruiter Lite to be a good additional resource for team members who look to actively source on the platform. It is significantly cheaper than a full recruiter seat. A major downside of LinkedIn is their absolutely atrocious customer service. However, we've found a continued growth in the platform extending to staff-level employees that our organization recruits.

    If you want to try it out, I'd recommend a Recruiter Lite seat or two and then reassess after a few months. Our craftier team members were able to pick up a lot of nuances within the platform, even absent solid onboarding/customer service.

    Hi Jamie;

    We have been using LI Recruiter for a year+ and have recently added 4 more licenses.   The key is the training of your recruiters on effectively using the tool.  There are many rabbit holes to go down and can be a time waster if not used properly.   I suggest training a super-user within your team and having them mentor others.  We have found it to be a great investment overall.   Good Luck!!  Barry

    Barry, that sounds like great advice. Is there a training or coach you would recommend?
