    Hello,
    We are kicking off a work-from-home chat support project with a client. We are looking to start 50-90 people for the project. This is our first experience with a work-from-home assignment at this scale. We are looking for some experience shares on how to be successful. What has worked for you? What issues should we consider. Some topics that we are particularly interested in are below-

    • Recruiting strategies
    • Screening tools, specifically for chat support
    • Have you required your candidates to send pictures of their work environment?
    • How have you weeded out individuals with potential distractions at home?
    • Equipment will be provided- How have you managed the return of the equipment? What policies have you implemented to try to guarantee the return of the equipment?

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for that resource.  My wife who is a RN/ JD is head of credentialing for a 6500 member nursing association that has always been virtual (last 25 years.) They have grown from about 10 EE''s to 25 EE's in the last 5 years because of the significant growth in membership. The members and staff are all over the US.  So essentially the pandemic did not have an impact on the way they did business.

    My observation as to  why they have been so successful  in this organizational structure over time is because the CEO's (they have had 2 in 20 years) have really accepted that "virtuality" is the best way of doing their business, and is not a "one off" business model. So all the employees like my wife, know there will never be an office to go back to, and that conference calls/ Zoom  calls are the most efficient way to do business from day one.
