Our hospital clients are requiring all of our placements to get the TB and Flu Shot (Michigan and Florida).  I know the EEOC has issued new guidance post COVID, but we don't have a clear picture of how this guidance affects hospital placements specifically.

Is anyone aware if we must accommodate candidates/associates who refuse to take the flu shot for religious reasons if they are working in a hospital (and sometimes in COVID units as well)?

Ask the facility for their declination policy as part of their credentialing checklist. They (or you) should have a form that specifies the declination rationale.

We work with a large Helthplex network....they too require TB and Flu Vaccinations.  If we have a candidate that is declining due to the religious beliefs, they have a waiver that they must and and the are required to wear a mask.  When this instance occurred for us, it was pre-COVID.
