We, and everyone else in this country, have seen an incredible surge in unemployment claims filed.
Whereas we usually have less than 600 claims per year, our numbers have surged above 600 for the months of March and April.
We use a business partner for claims management. We log into their systems, answer all the questions regarding the claims, and submit the claim.
Because of the volume, we are being charged per claim for overages. When asking for relief, reduction, or concession of some sort on the per claim cost with the unemployment associated with mandatory state shut-downs expected to continue to rise - we were told there would be none. I am wondering if this is a similar scenario for others using an unemployment partnership?
If you are not using a partnership, how are you handling your claims?
Thanks in advance.
