Hi Maureen. Tom Erb's info is fantastic. Another way to approach it is to use the "headhunter approach" that goes something like this:
"Hi, I'm Jane Doe from XXX. I am a professional recruiter and I am representing a highly skilled YYY (Note - keep it very high level. Make them ask for more). I thought that, given your role and industry, you might know of someone who is looking for just such an individual."
Then shut up! Wait for them to respond and then move forward accordingly. They will either ask a question (that is good!) or they will say something like "I don't know of anyone but I'll keep it in mind." Then you offer to forward the info to them via email. Mark it for follow up in three days.
Hope that helps. Just make it your own.

Subject: Skill Marketing for Administrative Candidates
Hi Community!
Just reaching out for assistance in skill-marketing. I am new to this area, especially when approaching prospective clients with available talent.... so feeling rather out of my depth.
For Recruiting Reference: I have a remote customer support team, with one client and I receive incoming referrals daily for Remote CSR/Data Entry candidates, some who are open to in-office positions. Outside of this existing pool: I have quite a few candidates in the HR/Senior Administration category, including some Finance, if this helps shed some light on my current focus.
Questions:
1. What are some methods that you have found effective for presenting talent to prospective clients? Or creative ways to approach existing clients about incoming talent/talent in other operational areas?
Any advice or direction welcome!
Cheers!
