    Hi all,
Do any of you have a good safety training program for your entire group of temporary employees? This question is mainly directed to agencies who have employees spread throughout many locations. I'm interested if you have developed a good safety program and/or incentive program that reinforces safety and that gets engagement and buy-in from employees.
I'm not asking about just some program that shows that employees signed off on something or that merely shows for liability purposes that you presented material to employees. I'm looking for a good program that has helped you reduce incidents and that you can tell is "sinking in" to your employees.

Also, do any of you have some of the following:
-Formal Injury & Illness Prevention Plan

    -Formal Return to Work Plan

    -Quarterly (or More) Safety Meetings

    -Quarterly (or More) Safety Training

    -Safety Incentive Plans

    Hi Nathan,
We use SafetyPlus, and it has worked out great for us.  It is customizable, and our clients like the badge and QR code feature.

Hi Nathan, I've found that the most effective way to set up these programs is through your Workers' Compensation carrier and your insurance agent. The top Work Comp carriers in the industry offer these services for free because they see it as a worthy investment in their clients' loss control. As far as safety incentive plans, that all depends on your placements and what motivates your employees. I have some creative ideas that we've used with my clients, but they may not be relevant to your workforce. I'm happy to set up a time if you'd like to talk about what carriers we're using and what I do differently as an agent.

    Hi Nathan,

I would concur with Jordon. Carriers (PEOs/ Captives  ect) have a vested interest in seeing that all their comp clients operate safely, and will gladly work with you on training, upgrading safety manuals and whatever they can do to decrease the number and seriousness of work related accidents.

Your agent should lead this discussion between your team and the carrier/ PEO.

Finally, we have a great recent OSHA report that describes how employers can safely manage the risks when their employees are working in very hot workplaces.  I would be glad to send it you.

    Stay safe,

    David
