I wanted to reach out to our network. This is an inquiry pertaining more to your temporary division. At your locations are you allowing walk-in candidates with a mask to your office(s) to discuss their job search? And secondly, with a mask are you doing face to face interviews with your candidates? Hi Kristi,

We are allowing walk-ins and in-person interviews but we are requiring that everyone wears masks, have plenty of hand sanitizer available, and are wiping down all common areas. I hope that helps!

We do allow walk-ins.  Everyone has to have a mask when any other person comes to our office.  Most of our applicants make an appointment.  However, if they are from out of town, and it is inconvenient for them to come back we have them complete the application in our entry way.  When complete the applicant is brought to our conference room.  The staff will sit 6 feet from them and conduct the interview.  It works for now.

This question is for the people who only do virtual interviews, if someone is hired for a job how do you handle the hiring process from there?
IE: videos, drug screens, testing.

Hi Kristi,

This is a great question!

We also accept walk ins on a limited basis. We encourage appointments (we do ask a series of covid screening questions over the phone so we can try to avoid scheduling someone actively sick or in recent contact with someone positive). We have a set limit on how many applicants we have in the office at one time.  If we reach "capacity" we politely ask the walk in to make an appointment for a later time. We have a documented procedure and owners for cleaning and wiping down surfaces between candidates, and every applicant picks up a pen when they first arrive and take that same pen with them when they leave. We also have a "scrub in, scrub out" process for applicants and staff where we ask them to apply hand sanitizer upon entry and exit. Our tables and chairs are spaced 6 feet apart for social distancing, so we can speak with candidates without getting too close.

We have a state mandate requiring masks in all establishments, so masks are mandatory for staff and applicants. We also have extra paper masks we give out if someone forgets.

It's been surprisingly pretty smooth for us and we are busier than ever. If you have any other questions, happy to help!

Good morning Kristi,

We are allowing walk-ins with a mask and we have a "sanitizing station" as you walk in the door.  We have our application stations marked out with 6 feet of tape around them so that applicants stay within their "bubble" while filling out their application.  Once they have left the station the whole area is sanitized before another person goes to that station.  For interviews we are no longer having our account managers speak with people in their own office, we created a space to conduct interviews where the candidate can be 6 feet away from the AM and we did get some plexiglass barriers both for the desk that the interview is conducted at and for the reception desk. 

We do try to schedule most appointments ahead of time (due to only being allowed to have 10 people in our office at a time – including staff) but if there are not ten people in the office and someone walks in, we accommodate.
