    Hello Fellow ASA Members;

    I hope this finds you all well.  I have a WI-based staffing client that is thinking of offering PTO to their temp employees, but they are unsure of how best to do so.  Do any of you have suggestions how/what they should do this?  Thank you all in advance for your assistance.

    Hi John -
    We have had very few clients offer paid time off to our contract employees. More frequently, we see companies paying holiday pay to temporary employees.  We offer PTO to temporary employees as a benefit and it is based on a number of hours worked.     When a client has offered PTO, it is based on the number of hours worked and typically the client has had some language in the PTO policy that outlines how to request, eligibibility (is there a senority requirement or # of days they need to request off in advance?) and what happens with the PTO bank upon termination.  We have billed standard markup based on an 8 hour day and the client puts the approved time down on the time sheet. A great resource for legal agreements in WI is:
