Committee Description
The membership committee provides insight and guidance related to the recruitment, orientation, and retention of members, and helps to ensure yearly membership goals are met. Membership committee members serve as ambassadors for the association, speaking with potential and new members as needed, and provides feedback on how the association supports the industry and their business.

Goals and Priorities

• Committee members participate in focus groups to test marketing messages about ASA membership, benefits, website, and more
• Serves as referrals for potential members
• Welcomes new ASA members as a participate in the ASA Central new member community
• Participates in new member orientations, providing a member perspective about the value of ASA membership
• Promotes ASA membership within staffing industry
• Serves as a sounding board regarding new member and existing member experiences

Our Ideal Volunteer Candidate
Membership committee members are excited about ASA membership and represent a broad spectrum of members. Committee members represent firms of all staffing firm sizes, different roles within the industry, and different levels of engagement with the association. This committee needs both seasoned volunteers and new volunteers to give fresh feedback on member benefits. Committee volunteers should be comfortable speaking to new members and prospects and be willing to share their experience as a member of ASA.

Time Commitment
The time commitment for the Membership Committee is 8-10 hours per year by participating in quarterly committee calls, focus group meetings as needed, and volunteering to share a testimonial on a new member orientation.
